If you are a bluegrass music fan, then White Lake, N.C. is the place for you to be on June 1 and 2, 2007. The Ninth Annual MelFest Bluegrass Festival will be held at Melwood Music Park, located in downtown White Lake. No effort has been spared to bring you the very best in acoustic bluegrass music. The program begins on Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. and runs until 11:00 PM. On Saturday, the stage program begins at 1:OO P.M. and continues until 11:00 P.M. Melfest is always held on the weekend after Memorial Day. Beginning primarily as a local festival in 1999, MelFest has grown over the years and now attracts bluegrass lovers from all over the country. Nationally known bands have performed at MelFest in past years, and 2007 MelFest will no no exception. the promoters strive to provide a wide variety of entertainment, from great vocals and instrumentals to bluegrass gospel to humorous performances. MelFest is sponsored in part by a Grassroots Grant from the Arts Council of Bladen County, N.C.
Friday (6:00-11:00 PM) is $15.00.
Saturday (1:00-11:00 PM) is $20.00.
Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
